Colleagues

Tom Henderson and Ginny Going are community artists, teachers, performers, and organization consultants. They co-direct Off the Deep End Ensemble, an InterPlay-based performance group, and lead InterPlay events across the country. Along with other certified InterPlay leaders, they provide leadership for the InterPlay Leadership Program in North Carolina. Tom is a Ph.D. organic chemist with 25 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Ginny has thirty years of business management experience with the North Carolina League of Municipalities and was Executive Director of Triangle AIDS Interfaith Network for five years. She is an ordained deacon in the Episcopal Church. Ginny and Tom have four grown daughters and three grandsons. They are both “recovering serious people.”

Work With Organizations

Imagine! Life at work could be more fun! InterPlay is helpful to both individuals and groups in organizations. Benefits to individuals include learning tools to deal with stress and having more ease, creativity and grace in their lives at work. Benefits to groups include rapid team building, greater group creativity, and easier management of conflict. Ginny and Tom are available for work with organizations large and small - businesses, non-profits, and religious organizations.

Embodied Spirituality

For those who long to bring all of who they are – bodies, minds, hearts and spirits – into their spiritual life and faith community, The Rev. Ginny Going and Tom Henderson offer retreats, workshops and worship events grounded in embodied spirituality.

Ginny and Tom are community artists, teachers, ministers and group leaders. They teach the practice and philosophy of InterPlay and are committed to recovering the unity of body, mind, heart and spirit and helping individuals and communities thrive.

Their approach is to engage participants in playfully reintegrating body, mind, heart and spirit and joyfully exploring physicality as a gift from the Divine. They invite people to experience more ease and joy in their spiritual life using the four paths of embodied spirituality and worship: story, voice, movement, and silence.

For those who are ready to explore body-based, playful and experiential ways of expressing their spirituality, who desire a place to have and tell their sacred stories and connect them with the wisdom of sacred texts, Ginny and Tom offer experiences where the divine life has many faces and is found in surprising ways.

Ginny and Tom have been leading retreats and events for faith communities for the past 20 years. They are happy to provide a list of faith communities that have sponsored events they have led.
