Give InterPlay Day 2021

Give InterPlay Day is day to support and celebrate meaningful and relevant projects happening all over the globe. With 18 different Give InterPlay Day projects, we are grateful to be a part of a community that strives for body wisdom and equity to be accessible to all. Please consider donating on or before May 12th, in order to support the future we want to see, sing, and dance in. See the complete list of projects.

Support Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill InterPlay

The Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill InterPlay region has been offering the transformative practice of InterPlay for over 25 years! Our activities have included the first Life Practice Program on the east coast, Leader training events, Untensives, playgroups, artists in residence, performances and outreach to special populations.

For Give InterPlay Day, we are requesting donations towards two important goals: sustaining our InterPlay activities and outreach and training more certified InterPlay leaders from communities of color and millennials.

To sustain our InterPlay regional community, we hope to provide stipends for key InterPlay leaders who for a decade have kept the pulse of InterPlay NC Triangle going by:

  • Designing, redesigning and maintaining our website

  • Maintaining our email list

  • Publishing our monthly event calendars and event publicity

  • Handling venue arrangements (reserving and paying for event spaces)

  • Managing our regional scholarship fund

  • Coordinating leadership for the Raleigh Playgroup

  • Organizing special projects and events (e.g. International Day of InterPlay)

  • Organizing artists-in-residence events for InterPlay leaders from outside our region.

We are aware of other InterPlay regions who are providing similar support to the individuals who provide such ongoing infrastructure support to their regions and we think now is time for us to do the same. To invite more leaders from communities of color and millennials, we will use some of the funds raised on Give InterPlay to build up our scholarship fund. This fund has been depleted due to the amount of scholarship assistance we’ve provided in the last several years. In this time of economic crisis from COVID-19, there is even more need for financial support for those who desire to become certified leaders of InterPlay from diverse communities.
